Consumer Protection Rules: Agency and Disclosure
Updated rules for real estate licensees in BC came into effect on June 15, 2018.
The rules will enhance consumer protection by:
- increasing the number and frequency of disclosures that real estate licensees must make to consumers, and
- in almost all cases, preventing real estate licensees from acting for both a buyer and a seller in the same transaction.

"Following public review and feedback on the draft land use concept in early summer 2019, staff will incorporate public feedback and forward the plan (Stage 1) to Council for consideration. An engineering servicing plan (Stage 2) will follow, after which development applications that conform to the plan may be considered by Council".
